Our first field day of the season will be at Kay's apiary doing the On The Spot queen rearing method that many of our members use. Benefits include controlling swarming behavior, raising your own queens and colonies, expanding your apiary, and mite control. Last year we had the creator of the method, Mel Disselkoen, give a presentation on the method. The club has one of his books that is able to be borrowed by any member! This method is for new and experienced beekeepers!
