KBA Hives @ the Louisville Nature Center

Picked up two swarms at the 5th Division Police Station and in the Merriwether neighborhood. Took them to the Louisville Nature Center to populate the two KBA hives. The existing hive was queenless so used the newspaper method to combine colonies. Affectionately calling the second colony the police hive now. We will use these hives for mentoring opportunities and to help pollinate the LNC gardens.

Checked on the hives a week later and both were building out like crazy and were queen-right. Looking forward to showing our members what we have.
