Please join Beth Wagner and Tim Hollins at their apiary at the La Minga Farm, a community farm located in Prospect, on April 3, 2022, at 5 pm. Tim and Beth will discuss spring management, hive inspections and demonstrate a split or two. Bring your bee suit and join the fun! Look for the KBA signs! If the weather doesn't cooperate we will send an email with another rain/weather date, so before you head to La Minga be sure to check your email. Hope to see you there.

We are an active local beekeeping community hosting public educational events and hands-on field days since 1976. The Louisville, Kentucky metro area and surrounding counties are full of beekeepers! You may even have one living on your street, keeping bees in their backyard, without even knowing it. Often quirky, sometimes funny, but always interesting, the urban beekeeper loves to share knowledge on the life and benefits of honeybees and the challenging yet entertaining hobby of being a beekeeper.
