Back for its second year, the Beginner Beekeeper Survival School packages the bare essentials you need to have a successful first year of beekeeping.

We have expanded to include a fourth club and session. This joint program includes Spencer, Bullitt, Kentuckiana and Oldham bee clubs in the greater Louisville KY area.

This 16 hour program was created to meet a recurring need, to prepare beginners for their first year of beekeeping! By setting up a joint program, we are able to integrate and educate these beginners in an organized manner.

Remaining sessions, join at any time for all or some of the sessions:

Sessions are $10/person/session, non-refundable except for Session 3, which is FREE to all. Last year we offered most of this content for free, but had a substantial number of no-shows on free reservations, which limited the number of students we were able to host. As such, we are now charging for registration, and making it non-refundable to reduce "seat holding" and no-shows. Registration proceeds after processing fees will be paid out the the hosting bee club for that session. The credit card processor for payments is Stripe, with payment sent to "OC Beekeepers" for all sessions, with OC dividing up proceeds and issuing payment for the individual sessions to the clubs after the programs' conclusion. Site hosts, at their discretion, may allow additional private attendees.
