KBA Field Day July 10th @ 5pm at Member Zachary McGill's Apiary

Please join us on Sunday, July 10th @ 5pm for a Field Day at Zachary McGill's Apiary.  Zachary is a Safety Engineer at MSD by day, a brand new Dad and has been beekeeping for 7 years.  On Sunday we will check for varroa mites and discuss treatment options. Bring your bee suit!


Address: 209 Woodcleft Rd., Louisville, KY 40222.  There is very limited parking, but there is a church within walking distance OR carpool from there with 2-3 other beekeepers over to Zach's house.  Trinity Chapel Church Assembly of God, 8617 Whipps Mill Ln, Louisville, KY 40222.

We are an active local beekeeping community hosting public educational events and hands-on field days since 1976. The Louisville, Kentucky metro area and surrounding counties are full of beekeepers! You may even have one living on your street, keeping bees in their backyard, without even knowing it. Often quirky, sometimes funny, but always interesting, the urban beekeeper loves to share knowledge on the life and benefits of honeybees and the challenging yet entertaining hobby of being a beekeeper.
