Our annual Beekeeping 101 will give new beekeepers a chance to learn about how to start their hives this year as well as give them a chance to meet our veteran beekeepers. We are an active local beekeeping community hosting public educational events and hands-on field days since 1976. The Louisville, Kentucky metro area and surrounding counties are full of beekeepers! You may even have one living on your street, keeping bees in their backyard, without even knowing it. Often quirky, sometimes funny, but always interesting, the urban beekeeper loves to share knowledge on the life and benefits of honeybees and the challenging yet entertaining hobby of being a beekeeper.
